Solicitor - Litigation - Exeter - 0-5 Years PQE
Location: Exeter (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (36.25 hours per week)
Salary: £45,000 to £75,000 (DOE)

A respected and nationally regarded law firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0-5 years' post qualification experience to join its busy and well established Dispute Resolution team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a high performing, collaborative environment with exposure to a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters.

The Role
You'll be responsible for assisting partners and senior lawyers on a varied caseload of litigation matters, including:

  • Contentious trusts and probate (disputed wills and trusts)
  • Commercial litigation matters
  • Day to day conduct of files with appropriate supervision
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, and other professionals
  • Developing a specialism and building your own niche within litigation
  • Supporting a collaborative and friendly team culture
  • Maintaining high professional standards and compliance

Initially, you will be office based in Exeter to familiarise yourself with the team and systems. The team works flexibly, typically attending the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with:

  • 0-5 years PQE in litigation
  • A practical, proactive approach to resolving disputes
  • Ideally some experience in contentious trusts and probate (not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in managing matters with appropriate supervision
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
