Solicitor - Employment - Bristol - NQ
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000
A respected law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor with 1-5 years' post qualification experience to join its growing Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a developing team, handling a broad mix of contentious and non contentious employment matters while contributing to a modern, collaborative working environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of employment matters, including:
- Advising employer clients on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, discrimination, TUPE and general HR queries
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, procedures and settlement agreements
- Handling Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing witness evidence and managing hearings
- Supporting senior lawyers on complex or high value disputes
- Providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients across multiple sectors
- Liaising with clients, colleagues and external professionals
- Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
- Maintaining high professional standards and compliance
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 1-5 years' PQE in employment law
- Experience across both contentious and non contentious matters
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing matters independently with appropriate supervision
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
- Willingness to contribute to the growth of a new office presence
