Senior Associate Supervisor - Contract Disputes - Bristol

A period of positive business growth has created a new opportunity for a Senior Associate Supervisor within the Contract Disputes team, part of the wider Volume Litigation Department. This role combines technical supervision with light caseload management and offers a strong leadership pathway within a busy, supportive litigation environment.
The Role
As a Senior Associate Supervisor, you will oversee the technical supervision of a small sub team handling Small Claims Track and Fast Track matters. You may also manage a small caseload of up to 10 consumer and commercial contract disputes of Fast or Intermediate Track value. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing prospects of success for consumer and commercial contract claims
- Acting for claimants and defendants on Fast and Intermediate Track matters
- Negotiating and litigating claims through the Civil Courts, including trial where required
- Delivering exceptional client service and clear, empathetic legal advice
- Supervising, mentoring and developing junior colleagues
- Ensuring quality, consistency and compliance across your team's caseload
- Supporting departmental performance, throughput and service delivery targets
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum number of office days per week. Full time or part time (minimum 4 days per week or equivalent hours) is available. The position is based in Bristol, a short walk from Temple Meads station.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with:
- Strong background in Contract Law and Civil Procedure
- Experience running Fast Track matters independently
- Previous people management or supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, assertive and customer focused approach
- Ability to identify complex issues and propose practical solutions
- Confidence presenting expert legal advice clearly and empathetically
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
