Property Litigator (2-5 PQE)
Birmingham (Hybrid/Flexible Working Available)
Competitive salary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Property Litigator to join a well-established Dispute Resolution team in Birmingham.
This role will suit a Solicitor or Legal Executive with around 2-5 years' PQE, although applications are welcomed from candidates outside this range who can demonstrate the relevant experience and expertise.
You will handle a broad range of property litigation matters for both commercial and private clients, working on a varied and interesting caseload. The successful candidate will have experience of contentious landlord and tenant matters, acting for both landlords and tenants in residential and commercial property disputes.
The caseload will include boundary disputes, general property litigation, TOLATA claims and professional negligence claims relating to property. Experience in wider commercial litigation would also be advantageous, as there may be opportunities to support the wider litigation team where required.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, advising clients on strategy, drafting legal documentation, conducting negotiations and, where appropriate, undertaking advocacy. Strong client care skills are essential, as the role involves significant client contact and managing expectations throughout the course of a matter.
The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, organised and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You should be confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications and be comfortable working to deadlines in a busy environment.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to business development activities and play a key role in the continued growth of the department.
The role is based in Birmingham and is offered on a full-time basis, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available.
