Property Litigation Associate - Bristol
An exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Property Litigation team within a progressive and growing law firm. Based in Bristol, you'll work on a broad range of high-quality contentious property matters for an impressive client base, including commercial landlords and tenants, developers, investors, retailers and private clients.
The team offers excellent exposure to complex and varied work, supported by experienced colleagues who are committed to helping lawyers develop their technical expertise and progress their careers.
This role is ideally suited to a solicitor with 1-4 years' PQE, although exceptional NQ Solicitors will also be considered where they have completed a Property Litigation seat during their training contract and can demonstrate additional relevant experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Running your own caseload of property litigation matters with appropriate support
- Advising on landlord and tenant disputes, including dilapidations, forfeiture, break notices and breach of covenant claims
- Handling development and land-related disputes, including telecoms matters
- Assisting clients with contentious issues arising from commercial property transactions and contracts
- Building strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the team
Candidate Requirements
- Ideally 1-4 years' PQE in Property Litigation
- Exceptional NQ candidates with a Property Litigation training seat and relevant pre-qualification experience will also be considered
- Experience handling a range of contentious property matters
- Good knowledge of landlord and tenant disputes and development-related issues
- Strong technical ability combined with a pragmatic and commercial approach
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude
