Property Disputes (TOLATA) Lawyer - Bristol - NQ-3 Years PQE

Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (DOE)
A UK Top 50 law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (NQ-3 PQE) to join its specialist Home Ownership Disputes Team, part of the wider Property Disputes division. This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in TOLATA and equitable property trust disputes within a supportive, ambitious and nationally recognised practice.
The Role
You'll support and manage a varied caseload of cohabitation and property trust disputes, including:
- TOLATA claims involving orders for sale, beneficial interest disputes and equitable accounting
- Advising on disputes between cohabitees, family members and friends
- Drafting cohabitation agreements
- Managing your own caseload under supervision
- Supporting senior lawyers on complex matters
- Responding to new enquiries and providing empathetic, clear client advice
- Contributing to business development, including writing articles and thought leadership pieces
- Delegating work to junior lawyers and trainees where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a solicitor or legal executive with:
- NQ-3 years' PQE (guideline only - all levels considered)
- Some experience advising on TOLATA or property trust disputes
- Strong interest in equitable claims and cohabitation matters
- Excellent attention to detail and high quality drafting skills
- Professional integrity and commitment to exceptional client service
- Ability to work sensitively with clients in emotionally charged situations
- Confidence using case management systems and digital workflows
