Partner - Private Client - Swindon
Location: Swindon
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £110,000 to £150,000
A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Partner to join its well established and high performing team in Swindon. The practice is recognised for its expertise in complex tax, trusts and succession planning, and this strategic hire will play a key role in driving continued growth across Wiltshire and the wider region. The firm has recently invested in a modern Swindon hub, offering a high quality working environment that supports collaboration and long term development.
The Role
You'll be responsible for leading and developing the Private Client offering in Swindon, including:
- Acting as senior lawyer on complex and high value matters
- Supervising and supporting junior fee earners across the team
- Managing a profitable caseload with a strong focus on client service
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, referrers and key stakeholders
- Leading client review processes and implementing service improvements
- Developing and executing client/referrer development plans
- Managing professional risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Leading thought leadership initiatives and contributing to departmental know how
- Supporting marketing, pitch activity and wider business development
- Providing leadership within the team and contributing to the firm's business plan
- Enhancing operational efficiency through improved processes and precedents
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an ambitious and experienced Private Client Partner with:
- Strong technical expertise in tax, trusts and succession planning
- Exceptional client management and communication skills
- Proven ability to supervise and develop junior lawyers
- A strong track record in business development and converting opportunities
- Motivation, commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
- Ability to lead, collaborate and contribute to a positive team culture
- A client following or business plan (desirable but not essential)
