International Private Client Associate (Tax & Trusts) | 4+ PQE - Bristol
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client lawyer to join a leading UK law firm with a nationally recognised Tax & Trusts practice. This Top 100 firm is consistently ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK, with a strong reputation for advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, international families, entrepreneurs and family offices on complex cross-border matters.

The Role
Joining a highly regarded Private Client team, you'll advise an impressive portfolio of UK and international clients on sophisticated tax, trust and succession planning matters.
Your work will include:
- Advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, international families, business owners and family offices.
- Providing strategic advice on international tax and succession planning.
- Advising on UK residence and domicile-related issues, including the Statutory Residence Test and evolving tax regimes.
- Structuring and advising on trusts, family investment companies and wealth-holding vehicles.
- Assisting clients with cross-border estate planning and succession strategies.
- Drafting wills and advising on inheritance and estate planning matters.
- Working closely with private banks, wealth managers, trustees and other professional advisers.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members while helping to strengthen client relationships.

Candidate Requirements
You'll ideally have:
- A minimum of 4 years' PQE in Private Client, Tax and Trusts
- Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families and their associated structures.
- Strong knowledge of international tax, trusts and succession planning.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- The ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload effectively.
- A collaborative approach and strong relationship-building abilities.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
- Qualification as an England & Wales or Scottish lawyer.
- STEP qualification (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
