Court of Protection Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive (2-4 PQE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a growing Private Client team with offices across Somerset.
This role is ideal for a lawyer with between 2 and 4 years' PQE who is looking to develop their expertise within a supportive and highly regarded team. You will work closely with experienced senior lawyers while enjoying significant responsibility for your own caseload.
The successful candidate will handle a broad range of Court of Protection and attorneyship matters. Depending on experience and interests, there may also be exposure to wider private client work including estate administration, trust administration, will drafting, and lasting powers of attorney.
You will be responsible for managing matters from instruction through to conclusion, maintaining regular client contact, providing tailored advice, preparing legal documentation and ensuring matters progress efficiently. The role also involves assisting with business development activities and supporting the continued growth of the department.
Candidates should have recent experience managing their own Court of Protection caseload, ideally within a private client environment. Strong communication and client care skills are essential, along with excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Oyez Forms would be beneficial but is not essential. Applicants should also hold a full UK driving licence.
