Corporate Solicitor (1+ PQE) - Cheltenham
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Solicitor to join a highly regarded commercial law firm with a strong reputation for advising entrepreneurial businesses, owner-managed companies, investors and high-net-worth individuals.
Working as part of a collaborative Corporate & Commercial team, you'll advise on a broad range of high-quality transactions while gaining exposure to an impressive client base and excellent career development opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on mergers and acquisitions, business disposals, management buyouts, group reorganisations and employee ownership trusts.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of corporate documentation, including share purchase agreements, investment agreements and shareholders' agreements.
- Supporting clients with company formations, corporate governance matters and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Managing due diligence exercises and coordinating transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, becoming a trusted adviser to businesses and stakeholders.
- Contributing to networking and business development initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
You'll ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor status with at least 1 year's PQE in Corporate Law.
- Experience advising on a range of corporate transactions.
- Strong technical knowledge of company law and transactional work.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- The confidence to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing deadlines.
