Commercial Property Associate - Managing Associate
Location: Exeter
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join the Exeter office of a highly respected Top 100 UK law firm, consistently recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers UK.
The firm's Commercial Property team acts for a diverse client base including investors, landlords, occupiers and financial institutions, advising on a broad spectrum of real estate matters. With a strong reputation in the market and ambitious growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and successful team handling high-quality work.
The Role
As part of a well-established Commercial Property practice, you'll work on a varied caseload and play an active role in supporting both clients and the continued growth of the team.
Your workload will include:
- Advising on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property
- Handling landlord and tenant matters
- Managing asset management work across client portfolios
- Supporting telecoms-related property transactions
- Drafting and negotiating leases, agreements and ancillary documentation
- Running transactions through to completion
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Participating in networking and business development activities
- Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees
This position offers excellent exposure to a wide range of commercial property work, providing the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise and commercial understanding while building long-term client relationships.
Please note that development and energy matters are handled by specialist teams within the wider firm.
Candidate Requirements
Applications are welcomed from Commercial Property Solicitors seeking to join a progressive and growing team.
You will ideally demonstrate:
- Solid experience across a range of commercial property matters
- Strong technical and transactional skills
- The ability to manage matters independently and efficiently
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to client service
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working closely with clients and other stakeholders
- An interest in business development and networking
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to support junior colleagues
Candidates will be considered at Associate, Senior Associate or Managing Associate level depending on experience and expertise.
