Children Law Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive - Bridgend
Location: Bridgend (with hybrid working available)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 (dependent on experience)
A well established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Children Law Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its award winning Family Department. The firm has been advising individuals and families for over 80 years and is recognised as a Legal 500 Leading Family Law practice. The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a varied children law caseload, including:
- Independently managing your own public and private children law matters
- Completing work efficiently and competently with minimal supervision
- Supervising junior colleagues and supporting their development
- Delivering a high quality service to clients and maintaining strong relationships
- Ensuring the department remains accessible and responsive to client needs
- Drafting content for legal updates and contributing to knowledge sharing
- Attending conferences, networking events and identifying business development opportunities
- Cross referring work across the wider Family and Private Client teams
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with:
- Experience handling both public and private children law cases
- Ability to manage your own caseload confidently
- Experience and knowledge of legal aid systems (desirable)
- Advocacy experience (desirable)
- Strong commercial awareness and willingness to support marketing and BD activity
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
- A proactive, organised and client focused approach
