Associate (5+ PQE) - Private Client - Cheltenham

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate with 5+ years' PQE to join a collaborative and well-established Private Client team.
You'll advise a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients on:
- Estate and succession planning
- Trust creation, administration and restructuring
- Inheritance tax planning
- Wills and wealth preservation strategies
- Probate and estate administration
- Family investment and business succession matters
- Landed estates and heritage property work
Working closely with experienced Partners and specialists across Private Client, Trusts, Tax and Property teams, you'll gain exposure to complex domestic and cross-border matters while developing your own area of expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing your own varied caseload
- Delivering clear, practical and commercially focused advice
- Drafting complex legal documentation
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Supporting business development and networking activities
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX professional with ideally 5-7 years' PQE
- Strong background in Private Client law
- Excellent knowledge of estate administration, trusts and inheritance tax
- Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners or trustees
- STEP qualification desirable but not essential
- Strong technical ability with a commercial and pragmatic approach
- Confident managing a substantial caseload independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
