Solicitor - New Homes Conveyancing - Devon - 2+ Years PQE
Location: Devon
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000

A well established and award winning law firm is seeking an experienced New Homes Conveyancing Lawyer to join its high performing New Homes and Residential Conveyancing Department. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a specialist role within a growing team, contributing to the continued expansion of the department and supporting the firm's strong reputation across the region.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing your own caseload of new build and plot purchase matters, including:

  • Reviewing title, planning documents and searches for whole developments
  • Raising site wide enquiries and preparing master site precedent reports
  • Acting for purchasers on individual plot purchases, working to 28 day exchange deadlines
  • Handling "one off" plot purchases and related sales
  • Producing your own documents and correspondence using the firm's case management system
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the residential conveyancing team
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures, professional standards and quality requirements
  • Supporting the department's growth through excellent client service and efficient working practices


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a conveyancing lawyer with:

  • At least 2 years PQE in residential conveyancing, including plot purchase work
  • Experience reviewing development wide documentation and preparing site reports
  • Confidence managing a caseload independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong client relationship skills and a professional, efficient approach
  • A track record of contributing to marketing initiatives and fee growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Good IT skills, including case management systems
  • Ability to meet financial and non financial targets
  • A flexible, enthusiastic and commercially aware mindset
  • Commitment to compliance, Lexcel standards and continuous improvement
