Solicitor - Medical Negligence - Up to 6 Years' PQE - Bristol
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £70,000 to £85,000 (dependent on experience)
A leading national clinical negligence practice is seeking a Solicitor/Associate (up to 6 years' PQE) to join its highly regarded Medical Negligence team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within one of the UK's strongest claimant clinical negligence departments, supporting clients through complex and sensitive matters while developing your expertise in high value litigation.
You'll join a supportive, forward thinking team known for delivering exceptional client care, technical excellence and impactful results.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload and assist senior colleagues on complex, high value matters across a wide range of medical disciplines. Work will include:
- Managing your own litigated caseload with a focus on high quality outcomes
- Assisting senior lawyers on complex claims involving obstetrics, neonatal care, anaesthetics, neurosurgery, cardiology, oncology, psychiatric care and more
- Providing accurate, compassionate legal advice and supporting clients throughout their journey
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider team to deliver seamless client service
- Ensuring cases progress efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the department
About You
This role is suited to a Solicitor with:
- Up to 6 years' PQE in claimant clinical negligence
- Proven experience managing your own caseload, including litigated matters
- Strong technical ability and confidence taking client instructions
- Experience assisting seniors on complex, high value cases
- Genuine empathy and commitment to supporting clients through challenging circumstances
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
