Solicitor - IP (Trademark) - Bristol - Hybrid
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trademark Solicitor to join a highly regarded intellectual property team in Bristol. Working with a diverse client base that includes multinational organisations, innovative technology businesses, consumer brands, media companies and life sciences organisations, the successful candidate will advise on the full spectrum of trade mark matters across the UK, EU and international markets.
This role offers exposure to complex and high-value brand protection work, supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their intellectual property rights. The Trademark Solicitor will work closely with experienced IP specialists, providing commercially focused advice on both contentious and non-contentious matters while developing strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on trade mark clearance, protection and brand strategy.
- Managing UK, EU and international trade mark portfolios and prosecution matters.
- Handling oppositions, invalidity and revocation proceedings.
- Supporting enforcement actions and online brand protection programmes.
- Building client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have between 2+ years' PQE with experience gained in private practice, advising on UK and EU trade mark matters. Strong academics, excellent communication skills and a pragmatic commercial approach are essential. Candidates should be organised, client focused and capable of managing multiple matters effectively.
