Solicitor - Agricultural, Rural & Property (NQ-3 PQE)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (hybrid working available)
Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 (DOE)
A leading regional law firm is seeking an ambitious NQ-3 PQE Solicitor to join its highly regarded Agricultural, Rural & Property team in Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Property or Rural Property lawyer looking to develop specialist expertise within the fast evolving landowner and rural sector, advising on everything from farm and estate transactions to strategic land development, option agreements and high value property projects.
The team acts for landowners, farming businesses, landed estates, developers, local authorities and private clients, offering exposure to a diverse and high quality caseload across agricultural, rural and commercial property matters.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing and supporting a varied caseload, including:
- Buying and selling agricultural, rural and commercial land
- Farm and estate acquisitions and disposals
- Agricultural and commercial leases
- Option agreements, promotion agreements and development agreements
- Strategic land transactions
- Overage arrangements
- Easements, covenants and rights affecting land
- Property aspects of farming business and succession planning
- Sales, acquisitions and refinancing of high value property assets
- General commercial property transactions
The team regularly advises on significant development land projects, supporting landowners from the negotiation of option and promotion agreements through to the ultimate sale and development of land.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a solicitor with:
- NQ-3 years' PQE
- Experience in Commercial Property, Agricultural Property or Rural Property
- A genuine interest in land, rural businesses and development projects
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- A commercial, client focused approach
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for developing specialist expertise
