Senior Family Solicitor - Derby
Overview
A national award winning law firm seeks a Senior Family Solicitor to join their family team in Derby. You will manage a varied caseload of high-quality privately funded family work while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department through business development and networking.
Responsibilities
You will manage a privately funded family caseload and advise clients on:
- Divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships
- Finances
- High-net-worth financial settlements
- Property and asset division
- Pension sharing arrangements
- Cohabitation disputes
- Separation agreements
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
In addition you will build and maintain strong client relationships and develop referral relationships with professional contacts, including financial advisers, accountants and other introducers. You will also support and mentor junior members of the team when needed.
About you
- Minimum of 8 years' PQE in family law
- Extensive experience managing a private family law caseload
- Strong expertise in divorce and financial remedy matters
- Excellent technical knowledge of family law and current developments
- Proven ability to manage complex and high-value financial cases
- Strong advocacy, negotiation and client relationship skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
Membership of Resolution and Family Law Accreditation an advantage but not essential.
