Senior Paralegal / Junior Fee Earner - Family Law
Cardiff / Swansea (Hybrid Working)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Paralegal or Junior Fee Earner to join a busy and growing Family Law team handling high-quality private family matters.
This role would suit an experienced Family Paralegal looking to step up into a fee-earning position, or a lawyer with under 3 years' PQE seeking a supportive environment with strong development opportunities. The firm is particularly interested in candidates with solid hands-on family law experience who are ready to take on greater responsibility and more complex work.
You will work closely with experienced family lawyers on a broad range of matters, with the opportunity to progressively manage your own files and become involved in increasingly complex cases as your experience develops.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with and managing a caseload of family law matters
- Drafting correspondence, court documents and legal applications
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and third parties
- Supporting senior fee earners on more complex cases
- Maintaining accurate file management and case progression
- Building strong client relationships and delivering excellent client care
- Assisting with business development initiatives, including digital marketing activities
- Contributing to the continued growth of the team
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong previous experience within family law
- Experience as a Family Paralegal or Junior Fee Earner
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A desire to develop their career within family law
The team offers a collaborative, open-plan working environment with a strong focus on quality, teamwork and professional development. Due to the nature of the role, candidates should expect to spend the majority of their time in the office initially. Once established, a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days per week in the office is available.
Candidates able to travel between Cardiff and Swansea would be particularly attractive.
