Senior Associate / Managing Associate - Pensions - Exeter
Part-Time (3-4 Days)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pensions Lawyer to join a highly regarded national law firm with a strong reputation for advising businesses throughout the UK. Consistently recognised in the Legal 500 and known for its collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, the firm is continuing to invest in the growth of its specialist teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate or Managing Associate who is looking for more than just a caseload. You'll have the chance to become the pensions specialist within a successful Employment team, helping to shape and expand the firm's offering in this area.

The role offers a mix of advisory and transactional work, supporting clients on a variety of pensions-related matters while working closely with colleagues across Corporate and Employment.

You'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy, exposure to quality work and the opportunity to influence the future direction of the practice.

Candidate Requirements
You'll ideally have:

  • Experience advising on a broad range of pensions matters within private practice.
  • Strong knowledge of pensions issues arising from corporate transactions, including due diligence and transactional support.
  • The ability to handle standalone advisory matters with confidence and minimal supervision.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to client service.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • The confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders across various disciplines.
  • An interest in mentoring junior lawyers and supporting team development.

This role would suit someone looking to take a leading role within a growing practice without necessarily stepping into a traditional management position from day one.

Why Join?

  • Join a respected Top 100 UK law firm with an ambitious growth strategy.
  • Play a key role in developing and growing a specialist pensions offering.
  • Work alongside highly regarded lawyers across Employment, Corporate and Commercial teams.
  • Enjoy genuinely flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • Access high-quality work from a diverse national client base.
  • Clear opportunities for progression and professional development.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
