Senior Associate - Private Client - Cardiff
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client lawyer to join a highly regarded national law firm with a strong reputation across England and Wales. Recognised in both Legal 500 and Chambers rankings, this award-winning Top 50 UK firm is known for its exceptional private client offering and ambitious growth plans.
Joining the Cardiff office as a Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in the continued expansion of the private client team whilst managing a high-quality and varied caseload.
You'll advise a broad range of clients including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, trustees and multi-generational families on matters such as:
- Wills and estate planning
- Trust creation and administration
- Probate and estate administration
- Inheritance tax and succession planning
- Wealth preservation and lifetime gifting
This is a genuinely varied role offering excellent quality work, significant client contact and the opportunity to become a visible figure within the Cardiff private client market. You'll also support the development of junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives across the region.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with circa 5+ years' PQE in Private Client matters
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of private client work
- Experience managing complex matters independently
- Ability to supervise, mentor and support junior colleagues
- Commercially minded with strong relationship-building skills
- Enthusiastic about networking and business development
- Existing Cardiff or South Wales market connections would be advantageous
- STEP qualified, or working towards accreditation, would be highly desirable
