Senior Associate - Family - Bath
Location: Bath
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)
A successful full service law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join and help grow its highly regarded Family team in Bath. The team is recognised in Chambers and Legal 500 and has a strong presence across the Southwest, with active involvement in Resolution at both regional and national levels.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a varied and high quality caseload of privately funded family matters, including:
- Financial remedy work
- Private children matters
- Advising unmarried couples
- Running your own busy caseload with support from the wider team
- Supervising and developing junior lawyers
- Picking up existing casefiles and helping build the Bath family offering
- Planning and delivering targeted business development activities
You will work closely with a Partner in the team, with clear opportunities for progression and a genuine pathway to Partnership in the short term future. You will also collaborate with fee earners across other offices.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an experienced Family lawyer with:
- Demonstrable expertise in financial remedy and private children law
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Confidence developing and growing your own practice
- Strong track record of business development within your specialism
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- A collaborative, team focused approach
- Law degree or equivalent qualification
