Rural Property Solicitor / FCILEX - Taunton - 2+ Years PQE
Location: Taunton
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 to £80,000 (DOE)
A well established South West law firm is seeking an ambitious Rural Property Solicitor / FCILEX (2+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Rural team in Taunton. This is an excellent opportunity to advise a diverse range of rural clients while enjoying high quality work, strong support and genuine opportunities for progression.
The Role
You'll manage a varied and often complex caseload of rural and agricultural property matters, including:
- Sales and acquisitions of farms, agricultural land and rural estates
- Agricultural tenancies and farm business tenancies
- Land development and strategic land matters
- Renewable energy projects
- Easements, rights of way and other rural property rights
- Estate and land management matters
- Diversification projects and rural business transactions
You'll work closely with colleagues across a wider Rural team known for its specialist expertise and collaborative approach. As the Taunton office continues to grow, you will play a key role in developing the rural offering locally, with scope to lead the team in due course.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor or FCILEX with:
- 2-8+ years PQE in rural property, agricultural law, commercial property or a related area
- Strong technical skills and commercial awareness
- Confidence managing a varied caseload independently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
- Genuine interest in the rural sector and the challenges faced by rural businesses and landowners
- Motivation to contribute to the growth of a developing office and team
