A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Managing Associate to join its established Birmingham real estate practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded real estate lawyer with 7+ years' PQE to join a market-leading team handling high-value investment, development and asset management work. The team acts for a broad range of investors, developers, occupiers and institutional clients, advising on some of the most significant real estate projects in the market.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, the firm is looking to appoint a senior lawyer capable of taking a leading role on complex commercial property matters while supporting the development of junior team members and client relationships.

You will advise on a broad range of real estate transactions, including:

  • Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property assets.
  • Development and regeneration projects.
  • Asset management and landlord and tenant matters.
  • Portfolio acquisitions, disposals and management.
  • Strategic property transactions across the industrial, logistics and office sectors.
  • Investment transactions for institutional and private sector clients.
  • Client relationship management and business development initiatives.
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior lawyers within the team.


The role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with major developers, investors, logistics businesses, private equity-backed organisations and institutional clients.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate is likely to be:

  • A qualified solicitor with 7+ years' PQE in commercial real estate.
  • Experienced across investment, development and asset management matters.
  • Comfortable managing complex transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Confident in a client-facing role and able to build long-term trusted relationships.
  • Experienced supervising and supporting junior lawyers.
  • Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of clients' strategic objectives.
  • Technically strong with excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills.
  • Enthusiastic about legal innovation and modern ways of delivering legal services.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working within a high-performing environment.
