Real Estate Associate - Residential Enfranchisement - Bristol - 1-3 Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £65,000 to £95,000 (plus bonus)

A leading national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate (1-3 years PQE) to join its highly regarded, Tier 1 Real Estate team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a top-performing group that regularly advises major national and international investors and developers on high-value residential and mixed-use matters.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of residential transactional and enfranchisement work, including:

  • Statutory lease extension claims under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993
  • Drafting and negotiating residential leases
  • Advising on residential tenancies, including assured periodic tenancies, and applying the Renters Rights Act 2025 and Tenant Fees Act 2019
  • Handling licences to alter, licences to assign and deeds of variation
  • Sales, purchases and refinancing of residential and mixed-use property
  • Liaising with clients, agents, surveyors and other professionals
  • Supporting a collaborative, high-performing team culture
  • Maintaining excellent professional standards and compliance


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 1-3 years PQE in residential property, enfranchisement or leasehold reform
  • Experience in statutory lease extensions (1993 Act work essential)
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence managing matters independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset
  • Familiarity with residential tenancy legislation
  • Some knowledge of collective enfranchisement and rights of first refusal (desirable but not essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
