Private Property Associate NQ - 3 PQE - Cheltenham

A leading international law firm with a top-tier reputation in Private Client work is seeking an NQ-3 PQE Associate to join its highly regarded Private Property team in Cheltenham. Renowned for advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and private institutions, this is a standout opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to build a long-term career in one of the most prestigious areas of property law.

For newly qualified lawyers in particular, opportunities offering this level of client exposure, training and specialist expertise are hard to find.

The Role
You'll join a market-leading Private Property team that advises wealthy individuals, landed estates, trustees, family offices, private banks and investors on a broad range of property matters. The team is known for handling complex, high-value transactions across the UK and internationally.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise on a wide range of residential and rural property transactions
  • Work with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and trustees
  • Support matters involving landed estates, agricultural and rural property interests
  • Draft and negotiate legal documentation with precision and commercial awareness
  • Manage your own matters while working closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers
  • Assist with client relationship management and business development activities
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and wider team initiatives

Candidate Requirements
The firm is keen to hear from Solicitors between NQ and 3 years' PQE who are looking to establish themselves within a first-class private property practice.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Experience in property law gained during training or post-qualification
  • A strong technical foundation and excellent drafting skills
  • Strong organisational and client relationship skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • An interest in private client property work, landed estates or rural property matters

Previous exposure to agricultural or estate-related property work would be beneficial but is by no means essential.

Why Join?
This is more than just an NQ role. It's an opportunity to launch your career within one of the strongest private property practices in the market, working alongside recognised experts and advising an exceptional client base.

You'll benefit from:

  • Exposure to complex, high-value and often unique property matters
  • Access to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients from day one
  • Structured training and tailored development for junior lawyers
  • Strong mentoring from experienced Partners and senior lawyers
  • A collegiate and supportive culture that genuinely invests in its people
  • Clear long-term progression prospects within a leading international firm

For ambitious NQs and junior associates seeking quality of work, exceptional training and genuine career progression, this is a rare opportunity that's difficult to match in the South West market.
