Personal Injury Associate - Insurance & Liability - Bristol (NQ-2 PQE)
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £60,000 to £67,000 (DOE)
A leading national insurance practice is seeking a General Liability Associate (NQ-2 PQE) to join its expanding team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded department handling varied, interesting and challenging personal injury and regulatory matters.
The Role
You'll work closely with partners, senior associates, associates, solicitors, trainees and paralegals across a well structured and collaborative team. The work spans a broad range of liability matters, including:
- Fast track, intermediate and multi track personal injury claims
- Employers', public and products liability
- Coverage advice
- Health & safety investigations and prosecutions
- Inquests
- Product regulation matters
You'll manage your own caseload while also supporting senior colleagues on more complex and large scale claims. You'll be encouraged to take ownership of files, develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and assist with personal injury claims across multiple tracks
- Provide clear, timely and commercially focused advice
- Deliver high quality client service aligned with agreed SLAs
- Capture and collate Management Information for clients
- Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and service delivery
- Attend client events and occasional travel (primarily to London)
- Work collaboratively within a supportive, inclusive team culture
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Legal Executive or Solicitor with:
- NQ-2 years' PQE
- Strong grounding in personal injury and fast track litigation
- Interest or experience in product liability and health & safety matters
- Solid understanding of legal procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to build trusted client relationships
- Commercial awareness and efficient working practices
- Commitment to business development and team contribution
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach
