Partner / Legal Director - Public Sector Litigation - Cardiff
A leading UK Top 100 law firm with a strong national presence and a highly regarded Cardiff office is looking to appoint a Partner, Legal Director, or senior lawyer with a clear route to partnership to help drive the growth of its Public Sector Litigation practice. The firm is recognised in the Legal 500 and advises a broad range of public sector bodies, regulated organisations, and commercial clients on complex disputes and strategic matters.
The Role
This is a standout opportunity to take a lead role in developing and growing a specialist public sector disputes practice from Cardiff.
You'll work on a broad range of challenging and high-profile matters, including:
- Procurement and tendering disputes
- Commercial contract litigation
- Governance and regulatory disputes
- Claims involving public bodies and regulated organisations
- Strategic and business-critical litigation
- Welsh public sector and wider public law-related disputes
Candidate Requirements
- Significant experience in public sector litigation and dispute resolution
- Strong expertise in procurement litigation and procurement-related disputes
- Experience advising public bodies, suppliers, contractors or regulated organisations
- A solid understanding of commercial contracts, governance issues and litigation risk management
- Proven business development and client relationship skills
- The ability to lead complex matters strategically and work collaboratively across multiple practice areas
- Experience supervising, mentoring or leading legal teams
- Knowledge of the Welsh public sector landscape would be advantageous
- An existing client following would be welcomed but is not essential
