Partner - Private Client - Bridgend - 8+ Years PQE
Location: Bridgend (Hybrid working)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000
A forward thinking and award winning regional law firm is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Private Client Partner to lead and grow its Wills, Probate & Private Client offering in Bridgend. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer who is passionate about developing a thriving regional practice and establishing a strong presence within the local community.
The Role
You'll be responsible for expanding the Private Client offering across Bridgend while managing a high quality caseload. Your work will include:
- Identifying and developing new sources of work across Bridgend
- Working with the Head of Private Client to deliver a regional growth strategy
- Building strong relationships with clients, introducers and professional contacts
- Acting as a visible ambassador for the firm through networking and community engagement
- Managing a varied caseload including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, LPAs, Court of Protection matters and estate planning
- Maintaining a strong personal fee earning contribution
- Recruiting, mentoring and developing colleagues as the team grows
- Supervising junior lawyers and support staff
- Ensuring compliance with SRA requirements and firm procedures
- Managing time recording, performance reviews and management information
- Collaborating with colleagues across all practice areas to maximise cross referral opportunities
- Delivering exceptional client care and maintaining the highest professional standards
- Working confidently with the firm's Case Management System and embracing technology
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 8+ years' PQE
- Broad experience across wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, IHT planning, LPAs and Court of Protection work
- Proven ability to win new business and develop strong professional relationships
- Strong commercial awareness and entrepreneurial mindset
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Outstanding client relationship and business development skills
- Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and commercial judgement
