NQ Solicitor - Wills, Trusts & Estate Disputes - Swansea
Location: Swansea
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)

A leading Welsh law firm is seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its award winning, Legal 500 ranked Wills, Trusts & Estate Disputes (WTED) team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in a niche, high growth area of law within a supportive, progressive and expanding firm.

The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the specialist WTED team on a broad range of contentious matters, including:

  • Will challenges
  • Inheritance Act claims
  • Trust disputes
  • Estate administration disputes
  • Complex contentious probate matters


Based in Swansea, you will work closely with respected experts in the field, gaining hands on experience from day one. The role offers excellent training, career development and opportunities to contribute to business development and build long term client relationships.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a newly qualified solicitor or junior lawyer with:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ welcome)
  • Strong interest in contentious probate, trusts or private client disputes
  • Exposure to litigation or private client work (advantageous but not essential)
  • Willingness to develop specialist expertise in WTED matters


Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and empathetically
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and manage sensitive situations professionally
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Commercial mindset with interest in business development
  • Proactive, solution focused approach
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
