An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Solicitor to join a busy and growing Dispute Resolution team on a maternity cover contract.

This role would suit a commercially minded solicitor who enjoys managing a varied caseload of contentious matters and delivering practical, strategic advice to clients. You will be joining a collaborative team handling a broad range of civil and commercial litigation work, with the opportunity to take responsibility for your own files from instruction through to resolution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters
  • Advising clients on litigation strategy, risk and prospects of success
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, correspondence and settlement agreements
  • Conducting legal research and providing clear, practical advice
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings where appropriate
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver an excellent client service
  • Maintaining compliance and effective file management throughout the life of a matter
  • Assisting with business development and networking activities

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with experience handling litigation or dispute resolution matters. Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines are essential.

You will be commercially aware, organised and client-focused, with the confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
