Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant - Dispute Resolution

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to join a growing Dispute Resolution team based in Worcester.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators, including a Partner, supporting a varied caseload spanning civil litigation, debt recovery and employment matters. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department while delivering a high standard of client service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Opening, maintaining and closing client files
- Onboarding new clients and carrying out compliance and due diligence checks
- Audio and copy typing correspondence and legal documents
- Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls and taking messages
- Assisting clients with queries and providing administrative support
- Diary management and organising appointments
- Processing accounts-related procedures
- Liaising with courts, tribunals, barristers, experts and other third parties
- Preparing court and Employment Tribunal documentation
- Printing, scanning, filing and general administrative support
The successful candidate will have previous legal support experience, ideally within a Dispute Resolution, Litigation or Employment Law environment. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload are essential.
You should possess:
- Previous legal secretarial or legal assistant experience
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Strong audio typing and IT skills
- A proactive and organised approach to work
- The ability to work effectively within a busy team environment
- Excellent client care skills
