Head of Commercial Property (8+ PQE)

Tamworth

Competitive salary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to take on a leadership role as Head of Commercial Property within a well-established and growing law firm.

This position would suit a commercially minded Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 8 years' PQE who is looking to combine high-quality fee-earning work with the opportunity to lead, develop and grow a successful commercial property team.

You will oversee the delivery of legal services across the department while managing and supporting the wider team. As a key member of the firm's leadership structure, you will contribute to strategic planning, business development initiatives and the continued growth of the commercial property offering.

The role will involve handling a broad range of commercial property matters, including:

  • Commercial acquisitions and disposals
  • Development and site set-up work
  • Landlord and tenant matters
  • Commercial leases
  • Property finance transactions
  • General commercial property work

In addition to managing your own caseload, you will be responsible for supervising colleagues, allocating work, maintaining quality standards and driving departmental performance. You will also play a significant role in developing client relationships, generating new business opportunities and shaping the future direction of the department.

The successful candidate will have strong technical commercial property expertise together with proven leadership skills. Experience in business development, client relationship management and team supervision will be essential.

You should be an excellent communicator with strong drafting, negotiation and organisational skills, as well as a practical and commercially focused approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of AML and client onboarding procedures is also important.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious lawyer seeking a senior leadership role with genuine influence over the future development of a successful commercial property practice.
