Family Law Locum Solicitor
Brynmawr, South Wales
Immediate requirement from 28 September 2026
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Law Locum to provide cover within a well-established South Wales practice.
The successful candidate will assist with a broad range of privately funded family law matters, covering an established caseload while the firm recruits on a permanent basis. The work will primarily involve private family matters, although there may be some exposure to Legal Aid work depending on experience and interest.
Candidates should be confident managing their own caseload and advising clients across a range of family law issues, including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy matters
- Private children law matters
- Cohabitation disputes
- General private family law advice
The firm is flexible regarding working arrangements and will consider both full-time and part-time availability. Hybrid working is available, with the role based across the Brynmawr and Abergavenny offices.
The ideal candidate will have approximately 3 years' PQE or above, strong client care skills and the ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
