Family Law Fee Earner -Chippenham - 3+ Years' Experience
Location: Chippenham (office based)
Type of Role: Part-time
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000
A well established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Fee Earner (Solicitor, CILEX or Paralegal) to join its busy and highly regarded family department on a part time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload of private family matters within a supportive, collaborative environment known for high quality client care.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a broad caseload of private family law matters, including:
- Separation, divorce and dissolution
- Arrangements for children
- Matrimonial finances
- Pre and post nuptial agreements
- Providing clear, practical legal advice across all areas of family law
- Drafting Forms E, consent orders, divorce applications and other legal documents
- Running Court cases effectively and efficiently
- Compiling, paginating and indexing court bundles in line with court rules
- Maintaining accurate case management records
- Managing risks, resolving issues and progressing matters proactively
- Working collaboratively within a specialist family department
- Supporting business development where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor, CILEX or Paralegal with:
- Ideally 3+ years' experience in private family law
- Strong technical, drafting and communication skills
- Empathetic client care and exceptional emotional intelligence
- Ability to balance compassion with clear, objective legal advice
- Excellent organisational skills and confidence managing a varied caseload
- A proactive, professional approach and commitment to high standards
- Willingness to continue developing knowledge within family law
