Family Director - Greater London - Hybrid working

Overview
A national award winning law firm seeks a Family Director to join their family team based just outside London. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the growth strategy, recruiting and mentoring talented lawyers, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional legal services to clients.
This role will suit a Family Partner, Head of Department, Regional Director or Senior Family Solicitor.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the Family team
- Recruit, retain and mentor high-performing legal professionals
- Identify opportunities for expansion into new markets and locations
- Build and enhance the firm's reputation within the family law sector
- Establish and maintain relationships with key referrers and professional networks
- Monitor departmental performance, utilisation and profitability
- Collaborate with other departments to maximise cross-referral opportunities
- Manage a privately funded family caseload and advise clients on divorce and separation, finances, cohabitation matters and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
About you
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 10+ years' PQE in Family Law
- Proven track record of managing and developing successful legal teams
- Experience in people management, coaching and mentoring
- Strong experience managing privately funded family law matters
- Excellent technical expertise in divorce and finances.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
- Experience delivering growth and achieving financial targets
- Outstanding communication, leadership and relationship-building skills
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop others
Membership of Resolution and Family Law Accreditation an advantage but not essential.
