Experienced Legal Assistant - Commercial Property

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a busy and growing Commercial Property team in Northampton.

This is a key support role within a successful Commercial Property department and would suit a candidate with previous experience working in a legal property environment who is looking to join a collaborative and ambitious team.

You will work closely with fee earners, helping to ensure matters progress efficiently and providing essential administrative and legal support across a range of commercial property transactions. The role requires someone who can prioritise workloads effectively, manage expectations and work to strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Submitting online property searches
  • Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications
  • Completing Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
  • Assisting with quality and compliance procedures
  • File management, scanning, filing and document preparation
  • Supporting fee earners with day-to-day transactional work
  • Liaising with clients and third parties
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Legal Assistant within a commercial or residential property team and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of legal property processes.

You will be a team player with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience using case management systems is essential, while audio typing and digital dictation experience would be beneficial but is not required.
