Employment Solicitor / Associate / Senior Associate - Bristol

This opportunity is with a highly regarded UK law firm recognised as a leading national practice and consistently tier 1 ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers for its employment law offering. The firm acts for an impressive client base ranging from FTSE-listed businesses and major public sector organisations through to charities, high-growth companies and senior executives. Known for combining top-quality work with a genuinely collaborative culture, the firm offers excellent career development, flexibility and long-term progression opportunities.

The Role

Due to continued growth and an increase in client demand, this successful Employment team is looking to appoint lawyers from Solicitor through to Senior Associate level. The team is open-minded regarding experience level and is keen to speak with talented employment lawyers who can bring strong technical expertise and a commercial approach.

You'll work alongside recognised specialists on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising employers across a variety of sectors on their most complex workplace challenges.

Work will include:

  • Employment Tribunal litigation and dispute resolution
  • Workplace and disciplinary investigations
  • Redundancy, restructuring and workforce change projects
  • Day-to-day employment law advisory work
  • Senior executive and sensitive HR matters
  • Global mobility and business immigration support (where relevant)
  • Data subject access requests and wider employment compliance matters
  • Client training and strategic employment projects

Lawyers joining at a more senior level will also have the opportunity to lead complex matters, supervise junior colleagues and play an active role in the continued growth of the practice.

Candidate Requirements
Applications are welcomed from Employment Solicitors, Associates and Senior Associates who can demonstrate:

  • Relevant employment law experience gained within private practice
  • Experience handling Employment Tribunal matters, ideally acting for respondents (claimant-side experience will also be considered)
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities and the confidence to manage competing priorities
  • Commercial awareness and sound legal judgement
  • Desire to develop professionally within a leading national practice

Experience in business immigration or leading workplace investigations would be advantageous but is by no means essential.

Why Join?

  • Join one of the UK's leading employment law teams
  • Work with a high-profile national client base across a diverse range of sectors
  • Access a varied mix of contentious, advisory and strategic employment work
  • Benefit from genuine flexibility and a healthy work-life balance
  • Clear and transparent career progression opportunities
  • Strong investment in learning, development and mentoring
  • Opportunity to make a real impact within a growing and successful team

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer seeking high-quality work, strong career development and the chance to be part of a market-leading national team.
