Employment PSL - Birmingham
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior employment solicitor to join this leading national firm. They are looking for their first employment PSL as they continue to expand their team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how they share knowledge, respond to legal developments and deliver consistently high-quality advice to clients. This role will be central to ensuring their lawyers have the insight, resources and training they need.
About our team
The employment team provides specialist advice across all areas of Employment, HR and Immigration law. The diverse client base includes PLCs, SMEs and major national and international employers across both the public and private sectors.
The role
As Professional Support Lawyer, you will be the team's go-to expert for legal knowledge, technical excellence and best practice. Key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring developments in employment law, legislation and case law, translating legal change into clear, practical guidance for fee earners
- Taking ownership of the team's precedents, templates and know-how resources
- Designing and delivering engaging training programmes, supporting CPD initiatives, inductions and technical development across the team
- Producing client alerts, updates and thought leadership content
- Supporting seminars, webinars and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Driving innovation by identifying smarter ways of working, including the use of technology, automation and AI
About you
- You will be an experienced employment solicitor with strong technical expertise
- Highly organised, proactive and intellectually curious
- Comfortable analysing complex legal developments and communicating them in a clear and practical way
- Interested in legal innovation and knowledge management
- Collaborative and approachable
