Dispute Resolution Lawyer - Plymouth
Location: Plymouth
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 (depending on experience)

A growing and award winning law firm is seeking an ambitious Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join its dynamic and expanding Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing and assisting with a varied caseload of privately funded litigation matters, including:

  • Company and partnership disputes
  • Shareholder and director disputes
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • Franchise disputes
  • Contractual claims


You will take responsibility for your own caseload while working collaboratively within a supportive and experienced team. Alongside delivering excellent client service, you will play an active role in business development, promoting both yourself and the firm, building strong professional relationships, and contributing to new work generation.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:

  • Experience in litigation and confidence managing a busy caseload
  • Drive, energy and ambition
  • A strong commitment to delivering excellent client service
  • Integrity, professionalism and a team focused approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills and experience using case management systems
  • Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business
  • A commercially minded, innovative and proactive approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the confidence to take responsibility while knowing when to seek support
