An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Associate to join the Bristol office of a highly regarded UK Top 100 law firm with a strong national presence and an excellent reputation across the corporate, technology, life sciences, healthcare and education sectors. The firm is recognised for delivering high-quality legal advice whilst maintaining a genuinely collaborative and people-focused culture.

Joining a well-established Corporate team, you will advise a diverse client base ranging from start-ups and scale-ups through to SMEs, family-owned businesses, PLCs and multinational organisations.

This is a varied and commercially focused role offering exposure to high-quality transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and venture capital investments. You'll work closely with ambitious businesses at all stages of their growth journey whilst enjoying direct client contact and meaningful responsibility from day one.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including M&A, venture capital and private equity matters
  • Supporting SMEs, family businesses, start-ups, scale-ups and established corporates across a range of sectors
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents
  • Managing matters from instruction through to completion
  • Participating in networking, business development and sector-focused initiatives
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the wider firm on complex and multidisciplinary matters


Candidate Requirements

We're keen to hear from corporate lawyers with a solid grounding in transactional work who are looking to further their career within a supportive and ambitious team.

You will ideally have:

  • Several years' post-qualification experience in corporate law
  • Strong experience in M&A, venture capital and/or private equity transactions
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and technical legal skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Confidence managing client relationships and taking ownership of transactions
  • Enthusiasm for networking and business development activities
