An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join a well-regarded regional law firm with a strong presence across the South West. Recognised in the Legal 500 and known for its long-standing relationships with businesses, landowners, developers and investors, the firm has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice with a personable and pragmatic approach.
Due to continued growth, the Commercial Property team is looking to recruit a solicitor with around 1 year PQE to join its Sherborne office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer seeking high-quality work, genuine responsibility and clear opportunities for long-term career development.
Joining an experienced and supportive property team, you will advise a broad range of clients including SMEs, investors, developers, landlords and tenants across a variety of commercial property matters.
Your workload is likely to include:
- Commercial acquisitions and disposals
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Lease grants, renewals and assignments
- Commercial property investment transactions
- Secured lending and property finance work
- Development and site acquisition matters
- Easements, rights of way and property-related agreements
- Supporting senior lawyers on larger and more complex transactions
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with circa 1+ years' PQE in Commercial Property
- Experience handling a range of commercial property matters
- Ability to manage your own files with appropriate supervision
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ambitious and keen to progress your career within a growing team
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative environment
