Clinical Negligence Solicitor / FCILEx - Bristol
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Hybrid: 1-2 days office / remainder home working

Excellent opportunity for a Solicitor, FCILEx or experienced clinical negligence fee earner to join a well-established Clinical Negligence team within a respected national law firm. Recognised within the Legal 500 for its claimant work, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services.
Working exclusively on claimant clinical negligence matters, you will manage your own varied caseload of litigated claims, including complex and high-value cases from inception through to conclusion. This is a hands-on role within a supportive team structure, offering the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists while enjoying a high degree of autonomy.
The role offers flexibility, with a mixture of home and office-based working.
Duties Include:
- Managing your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, including litigated cases
- Handling complex and high-value claims both pre- and post-issue
- Working closely with clients, counsel, medical experts, insurers and other stakeholders
- Progressing matters efficiently in line with procedural requirements and service standards
- Supporting and supervising colleagues where appropriate under the guidance of the Group Leader
Candidate Requirements
This is a busy and rewarding role suited to an organised and proactive clinical negligence specialist who is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
You will bring:
- Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx or equivalent claimant clinical negligence experience
- Proven experience managing a litigated clinical negligence caseload
- Strong knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence litigation procedures
- Ability to confidently handle complex and sensitive client matters
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A pragmatic and proactive approach to progressing claims
- Good IT skills and experience working within a case management environment
Experience of Legal Expenses Insurance, publicly funded matters or CFA arrangements would be advantageous.
