Chartered Trade Mark Attorney - Bristol - 1-6 PQE

Salary: £95,000 to £135,000 (dependent on experience)

A highly regarded international Intellectual Property practice is seeking a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney (1-6 PQE) to join its Brands, Trade Marks & Designs team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the world's most recognisable brands across technology, fintech, financial services, media, entertainment, life sciences, consumer products and fashion.

The team provides a fully integrated, end to end brands service, advising on UK, EU and international matters and managing valuable global portfolios. You'll work closely with colleagues across a large international IP network, gaining exposure to complex, multi jurisdictional issues and high profile clients.

The Role
You will advise on a broad mix of trade mark matters, including:

  • Brand clearance and protection strategies
  • Trade mark prosecution and portfolio management
  • Opposition, invalidity and revocation proceedings
  • Enforcement actions and online brand protection programmes
  • Multi jurisdictional advisory work for leading global businesses

You'll work closely with partners and colleagues across the wider IP practice, delivering commercially focused, pragmatic advice and enjoying significant client exposure from the outset.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with:

  • 1-6 years' PQE
  • Proven experience advising on UK and EU trade mark matters
  • Experience gained in private practice (law firm or trade mark attorney firm)
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple matters and portfolios
  • Strong client focus and commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse, inclusive team
  • Confidence building professional relationships and developing networks
  • Interest in business development and contributing to the growth of a leading brands practice
