A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Banking & Finance Associate or Senior Associate to join the Exeter office of a leading UK Top 100 law firm. Renowned for its strength across the financial, corporate and real estate sectors, the firm is consistently recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers and continues to invest heavily in the growth of its Banking & Finance practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious team advising on high-quality transactions for an impressive client base.
The team handles a broad mix of banking and finance work, acting for both lenders and borrowers across a wide range of transactions, including:
- Acquisition finance
- Real estate finance
- Corporate lending and funding arrangements
- Private equity-backed transactions
- Management buyouts
- Refinancing and restructuring matters
- Clearing bank panel work
- Complex finance transactions from initial structuring through to completion
Alongside managing transactions, you will work closely with clients and intermediaries, developing strong commercial relationships and gaining valuable exposure to business development initiatives and wider growth opportunities within the practice.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years' PQE in Banking & Finance
- Experience advising on a range of lending and finance transactions
- Strong technical and drafting abilities
- Excellent commercial awareness and client management skills
- Confidence running matters and taking ownership of client relationships
- A proactive approach to networking and business development
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
