Associate / Supervising Associate - Funds Finance - Bristol - 1-5 Years PQE
Location: Bristol (Hybrid working)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £75,000 to £145,000

A market leading international practice is seeking an Associate or Supervising Associate to join its highly regarded Funds Finance team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within one of the strongest funds finance practices in the UK, advising financial institutions, alternative lenders, private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds and investment managers on complex and innovative financing structures.

The Role
You will work across a broad range of funds finance transactions, including:

  • Capital call facilities
  • NAV facilities
  • Hybrid facilities
  • GP/co invest facilities
  • SMA facilities
  • Financing involving private equity, credit, debt, real estate and infrastructure funds

You will advise both lenders and sponsors/borrowers, gaining exposure to a wide variety of structures and asset classes. The role also involves working closely with colleagues across finance, funds and regulatory teams, providing clients with commercially focused, technically excellent advice.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a technically strong and commercially minded funds finance lawyer with:

  • 1-5 years' PQE gained at an international or leading regional firm
  • Experience across capital call, hybrid, GP, management fee, co invest or NAV/asset backed facilities
  • Understanding of fund structures and partnership documentation
  • Strong drafting skills and excellent academics
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a friendly, collegiate and inclusive team
  • Strong client focus and interest in business development
  • Commercial awareness and pragmatic problem solving approach
