Associate (NQ-3 PQE) - Private Client (Private Property) - Cheltenham
Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 (dependent on PQE)

A leading national practice is seeking an Associate (NQ-3 PQE) to join its Private Client division, working within the specialist Private Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor looking to develop expertise in high value property matters for HNW and UHNW individuals, families, trustees and private wealth structures.

The team advises UK and international clients, private banks and investment companies on property transactions, security and investment matters. You will join a friendly, collegiate group known for high quality work, strong supervision and excellent long term development.

The Role
You will manage a varied caseload and support partners on more complex matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear, succinct and practical legal advice
  • Managing a substantial and varied workload with appropriate supervision
  • Drafting accurately and logically, using precedents where appropriate
  • Applying a commercial approach to research and advice
  • Supporting partners with client marketing and business development activity
  • Contributing to divisional knowledge and know how initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with all SRA regulatory obligations


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an England & Wales qualified solicitor with:

  • NQ-3 years' PQE
  • Experience as a generalist property lawyer within a Private Client context
  • Interest in landed estates, agricultural or rural property work (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to go the extra mile
