Associate / Senior Associate - Banking & Finance - Bristol
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £70,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience)

A dynamic and forward thinking law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly experienced Banking & Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, agile environment, advising on high value and complex finance transactions while contributing to the continued growth of a nationally recognised practice.

The Role
You'll be responsible for leading and supporting a wide variety of finance matters, including:

  • Real estate finance
  • Acquisition finance
  • Corporate lending
  • Development finance
  • Project finance
  • Impact investment transactions


Your work will include drafting, negotiating and advising on facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, loan notes and related finance documentation. You will advise both lenders and borrowers on new lending arrangements, refinancings and restructurings, and manage transaction workstreams across multi disciplinary teams.

You will also:

  • Support domestic and international transactions, including working with overseas counsel
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and business development
  • Mentor and support junior lawyers
  • Contribute to strategic growth areas within the team


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 3-6 years' PQE in banking and finance
  • A strong track record of leading finance transactions and managing client relationships
  • Experience across sectors such as sustainable economy, impact investing, financial services, private wealth, real estate or international finance
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating at all levels
  • A commercial, proactive and professional approach
  • Ability to build networks, develop business and contribute to team growth
  • Initiative, self motivation and enthusiasm for career development
