Associate - Digital Assets / Structured Finance & Derivatives - Bristol - 1-2+ Years' PQE

Salary: £120,000 to £130,000 (dependent on experience)
A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate with 1-2+ years' PQE to join its growing digital assets practice within a market leading Structured Finance & Derivatives team. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of emerging technologies, advising on cutting edge digital asset transactions, tokenisation projects and distributed ledger technology. You'll be part of a high performing group known for complex structured finance, derivatives and securitisation work, with genuine exposure to innovative, fast moving mandates.
The Role
You will work closely with the partner leading the digital assets practice, alongside associates, trainees and colleagues across the wider structured finance and derivatives group. Your work will include:
- Advising on transactional mandates involving digital assets, building on a structured finance or derivatives foundation.
- Supporting clients on regulatory and structuring issues relating to cryptoassets and tokenisation.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating structured finance documentation for an international client base including crypto firms, banks, asset managers, funds and corporates.
- Working as part of cross practice and cross border teams across Bristol and global offices.
- Taking responsibility for matters, supervising junior colleagues and building strong client relationships.
- Playing an active role in marketing and business development as the practice continues to grow.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a candidate with excellent academics and 1-2+ years' PQE gained at a leading City firm. You should bring:
- A solid structured finance or derivatives background (transactional or regulatory).
- Genuine interest in digital assets, crypto, tokenisation and emerging technologies.
- Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- A proactive, self starter mindset and confidence to help shape a developing practice.
- Strong client focus and willingness to engage in business development.
- A collaborative, commercially driven approach within a diverse and inclusive team.
- Flexibility to support the demands of high quality transactional work.
