An exciting opportunity for a NQ-3 PQE solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded Agricultural, Rural & Property team, working on a broad mix of land, rural and commercial property matters.

This is a role with genuine scope to develop your expertise, take on quality work and build a long-term career within a successful UK Top 150 law firm.

The team advises a diverse client base including landowners, farming businesses, landed estates, developers, local authorities and private clients, with work ranging from day-to-day agricultural property matters through to complex development and strategic land projects.

The Role

You'll have the opportunity to work across a varied and interesting caseload, including:

  • Sales and acquisitions of agricultural, rural and commercial land
  • Farm and estate acquisitions and disposals
  • Agricultural and commercial leases
  • Option, promotion and development agreements
  • Strategic land transactions
  • Overage arrangements
  • Easements, covenants and other rights affecting land
  • Property matters relating to farming businesses and succession planning
  • Sales, acquisitions and refinancing of high-value property assets
  • General commercial property transactions


Candidate Requirements
We're looking for a qualified solicitor with up to 3 years' PQE who has experience in one or more of the following:

  • Commercial Property
  • Agricultural Property
  • Rural Property


You'll ideally bring:

  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • A commercial, pragmatic approach
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • An interest in land, rural businesses and development
  • The ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn


Commercial property solicitors looking to move into or develop a specialism in agricultural and rural property are particularly encouraged to apply.
